A stay that feels good, and does good.
Rockhouse was founded on the principles of responsibility, reinvestment, and regeneration. This responsible approach to hospitality guides everything we do, setting the Rockhouse experience apart: responsibility to our Guests, our Team, the Jamaican People and the Earth.
By choosing Rockhouse, you directly contribute to the Rockhouse Foundation's vital work, not only enriching, but regenerating Negril's education, health, and environmental future.

GUESTS
Our first responsibility is to our guests. We know that vacation time is precious and we do all we can to make sure you have an exceptional, authentically Jamaican, restorative stay. A third of hotel profits support local education, so simply by choosing and enjoying Rockhouse, you directly contribute to our Foundation's vital work, enriching Negril's education and environmental future.

TEAM
We are responsible to our team, and are committed to sharing the success of the hotel with them through fair compensation, a dignified workplace, as well as hiring and empowering Jamaicans. First-class training, health benefits and opportunities set standards for being one of the best places to work. An average retention rate of ten years means we provide the best of all worlds in service, with a distinctly Jamaican flair.

COMMUNITY
The Rockhouse Foundation is a powerful, transformative force in local education. We’ve invested almost $10 million dollars in local education over the past 20 yrs, and we’ve built the best all-inclusive in Jamaica: The Sav Inclusive School. It’s the first of its kind in Western Jamaica where children with different abilities learn side by side. Rockhouse underwrites all administrative and fundraising expenses of the Foundation, so every donation directly supports projects. The Rockhouse Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit and a Jamaican registered charity.

ENVIRONMENT
Our most sacred goal is regeneration: touching our precious Earth lightly, giving more to the Earth than we take. To that end, we have been Green Globe Certified continuously, for over 20 years and counting. Our Green Globe Coordinator, Ruel Rowe assesses our impact closely, keeping us on track with our sustainable goals.
This means we use an accredited Environmental Management system to monitor our use of natural resources, our emissions, and hazardous materials. We have eliminated single use plastic water bottles, introducing our new brand of locally sourced and bottled mineral water, Discovery Water; and are always innovating to reduce and, wherever possible, eliminate waste across our supply chain. We grow most of our own produce, and supply other hotels locally with our hydroponic and organic farm, make our own candles, furniture and spa products.
